SFTP.DownloadFiles - Destination is overwritten but rollback fails

Task full name: Frends.SFTP.DownloadFiles Task version: 2.14.0 Frends version: 6.0.3 .NET platform: .NET 8 Operating system: Windows Summary: When SourceOperation=Move finds a same-named file in the move target folder, the move fails. However, the destination file was already replaced (temp → final). The rollback then fails because the temp file no longer exists. Result: the task reports failure, but the destination is already overwritten. Expected behaviour: If the source move fails, the destination should not change, or it should be fully restored to the original file. Actual behaviour: Destination is overwritten; then SourceOperation=Move fails with “file exists”; rollback cannot restore because the temp file was already renamed. The task shows failure (“No files transferred”), but the destination contains the new file. Steps to reproduce: On SFTP, create: /in/input1.xml and pre-create /archive/input1.xml. Configure the task: Source: Directory="/in", FileName="input*.xml", Operation=Move, DirectoryToMoveAfterTransfer="/archive" Destination: Directory="F:\Out", Action=Overwrite Options: RenameDestinationFileDuringTransfer=true (Source rename optional) Run the task. Additional information: Suggested fix: Commit the destination only after SourceOperation succeeds, or keep a restorable copy until the outcome is known.
