Frends created Get Status task is stuck

The Frends created Get Status task seems to be stuck if the previous task takes long to complete or returns a large amount of data. In our processes, if the previous call takes about 30 seconds, the Get status is running over 90 seconds but then fails to complete as a timeout occurs. We believe it should take only a few seconds to complete this internal process. Alternative is that there is so much data that the Get status cannot process it properly causing the same timeout to be triggered.
